The new land has a startling number of skinks!

Several times a day, when moving wood, planting trees, or just walking quietly across the land - these little creatures can be seen sunbathing or following insects.

Their abundance is a testimony to the warmth of the location and effectiveness of the ongoing pest control.

Well we figure that by the time the "Big Move" is completed we'll have driven about 10,000 miles - about what it would take to drive from NZ to America, if that were possible - and have so far had 7 flat tyres, one broken windshield, one broken towbar, and many other 'adventures in minature' to get established on the new property. Phew!!
